I can understand why it would be useful to be able to operate multiple sites from one admin. But I doubt that this would ever be possible with this addon. Its just not what this addon is intended for.

Consider what you are asking for. This addon allows you to make nodes available per domain. These nodes contain posts by members. So the users that posted to that node also need to be a member on the site(s) that the node is displayed on. Separating members between the sites can easily become a mess. You can also move threads from one node to another. Then you have a bigger mess.

What you need is a multisite addon that keeps domains completely separate and does not allow sharing of content, nodes, members between sites.

So i got the wrong addon. nice :-(

so even if i have different nodes on these two different sites they will contain posts from both users....i don't get it

thanks....bit too late now. i just don't understand why you just cannot separate users from the two sites.....it's not logic to me....if users can switch from one site to the other in a different language and different site......this is gonna be a mess. Why can't i just exclude all members? This makes no sense.

How is it too late?

How you have it now won't work but two installs will.

Frankly i have enough of this.....this is too technical and im done with it. It makes no sense whatsoever to have two completely different sites where all the users are mingled on both platforms. it's not logic and makes no sense whatsoever. site one> members stay there who belong to that site, site two > different type of members that belong to that site....no mingling....just two different platforms
 
I'm still confused. You want the add on to do something it's not designed to do. It sounds like you have completely separate sites that you don't want to mingle.

Why did you buy this addon if you don't want them to mingle? The whole point of the addon is for them to mingle.

i want all the options except that users are on site 1 and site 2......they must be separated completely....i just DON'T want any user on site 1 and also on site two.
 
I think that @Echelon wanted to use this addon for the ease of administrating multiple sites from one backend. For example: he only needs to update XenForo and all his addons once.

yes.....but again.......site 1 is Dutch and site 2 is US........if site 1 is a porn site with members i dont want them on my second site which is a church and charity site.......so dutch members stay on the dutch site and us members stay on the us site.......that's it
 
Or you can ask a developer to create a new addon for this. It's too bad that @XCentral doesn't reply to your support tickets. They would have been the optimal choice to hire but if they are unresponsive to your support requests then its best to look further.

thanks. I deinstall the addon and clone the site to a new db etc/etc/etc
 
@XCentral I have an issue with Taigachat, i see this error when i enable it into my site:

p.s. Xenforo, Multisite and Taigachat are on the latest versions...

@Markos , we are almost sure that TaigaChat is not the latest version. The column mentioned is added by the latest version, and it doesn't exist in your database. Please double-check and let us know.

@XCentral I have submitted a support ticket about the bugs that were introduced with the 1.5.0 release. #XMP-937-49503
  • xenreviews support does not work, because 'featured items' shows content from the wrong sites.
  • Vaultwiki shows the main page for the wrong site. (there is no setting in adminpanel to define the correct main page.)
Another important issue is the duplicate content punishment that Google will incur because its not possible to hide thread content from guests on one site.

Please fix all 3 issues.

Create 2 user groups, allow group 1 to access site 1 and group 2 to access site 2 using permissions for the nodes.
