XenCentral Multisite System

XenCentral Multisite System [Paid] 1.11.0

No permission to buy (€69.99)
@XCentral - I'm waiting for a response to my ticket on the support site as well (regarding errors from Multisite with XenTag and the Widget Framework enabled).

Also, it was just announced that ChrisD's Gallery is now included in the XenForo product line. Could you please tell us if Multisite will also support the gallery in a future release?

uhm...I think i got it rightly installed......got 1 .NL domain and 1 .COM domain. When i want to go to the com domain it redirects to the nl site. What did i overlook?

so when typing www.socialmarketingtalk.com it redirects to socialmediatalk.nl
must be...www.socialmarketingtalk.com to www.socialmarketingtalk.com
I have never been able to have this work with 2 separate domains. ie: .net/.com
The only way I had any success is to have the main domain and the rest are sub domains of the main domain.
1.domain.com, 2.domain.com, 2.domain.com ect

Well....i asked them before purchasing the addon and they said it was no problem

just a double check to be absolutely sure ;-)

So we have a NL domain extension and a different sitename with COM domain extension

does your addon do;

the NL site MUST be Dutch language?
the COM site MUST be English?

thus....2 xenforo licences....2 xenforo platforms....1 admin.....1 site Dutch language for the users.....1 site English for the users?

possible?
Yes, what you have described is definitely possible, and just to add to your list of requirements, you will not have "2 xenforo platforms", you will have one XenForo site, which is accessible under different domains (those, it is one site, one file system, one database, just different domains and virtual hosts are mapped to the same directory on your server). As a result you have 1 user base, one admin, but you make different sites look different (setting the language and style per domain), have different content (filtering forums, threads, resources and many third-party content types), so effectively they look like 2 different sites.

Thank you!

It looks like this issue was fixed in today's update. Thanks so much! :)

Would still love to know the answer to this one. ;)

@PrettyPixels
Just wondering if you lost the ability to select The Drop down menu for Override Options is gone in updated version 1.5.0, I can no longer select options?

No, I don't have the drop-down option in the latest version. The drop-down also wasn't in the previous version I had installed.

To populate the Override Options, I had to look in the Options on the "main" domain and just type them into the box on the Override Options screen. It should auto-fill as you type.

Definitely not as convenient as a drop-down, but it seems to work fine. :)

Good it's not just me then LOL I reported it in a ticket as it's a PITA not having it the way it was. If you back space the one that's there it will show the list. But I'd rather have the drop down too. :)

Is this true? I can't have site1.com and site2.com share the same users but have different forum nodes?

Has the guest and duplicate content issue been fixed?

Doesn't this addon do the same thing?

Maybe I can use a single sign on with two separate forums.
I'm not really clear on how duplicate content is an issue. Mind mentioning some details on your setup and how it's a problem? Obviously I'd like to stay in the good books with google :)

This add-on also doesn't filter "newest members" or any of the member-notable pages info like "most likes", "most posts", etc. They're all mixed together from multiple sites. This add-on has a lot of potential, but feels somewhat incomplete.

I was able to work around the member-notable issue by messing with XF core, but haven't had luck with newest-members yet.

People have said that sites with the same content get punished by Google. Not sure how true it is but people have said it here.

That part is definitely correct, but I'm wondering how/why you have duplicate content to begin with? It shouldn't be an issue if you're set-up correctly. I'm assuming of course that you're displaying different nodes per site.
