Thanks... I will undelete the whole lot and reinstall from scratch, as it seems the last update didn't fix anything as an update, but more only as a new install. I don't think I will be updating this in the future once I have a stable working version... too many headaches.

I was shaking as I was updating it today. There has never been one time an upgrade went well with this. Two versions back, I lost a $ four figure deal that I had in the pocket after so much headaches trying to show someone their stats. Most add-on's aren't a big deal if they have glitches (I don't sweat it and understand it happens), but when people are paying me money for advertising results, having to refund combined with any bad press is something I avoid like The Plague. It gets pretty stressful with this one.

To whom it may concern: Please don't release these updates without testing better. The problem with this and others , this update was to fix that last bad one. And so it goes... I have been desperate because I have people who pay me to use this.

Anthony, this is working well now. It didn't kill the database, stats etc. Its all good. It was weird how I couldn't overwrite the old files. Once you replace all the folders, you can update the XML files easy.

I am thinking about buying this add-on.

But the recent messages in this thread make me pushing back. I would expect such stupid errors (wrong database types, cron not triggering) in a version 1 of an add-on but not in such a high version.

Aren't your updates tested before you release them? Should I really invest my money in it?

Me too. This is very bad and annoying when addon such qualaty of code selling for such price.

being said, I am tweaking a banner code and would like the target to open up a _blank . How do I include this below? Thanks

Can we upload swf? I'm having no luck.

I see no reason why you can't, as you would simply just change the URL structure for that swf ad only in the relevant fields, giving the physical location of your .swf file and not actually uploading an img as such. That way the ad is tracked and such, but basically only manually input with an actual location to the file.

so in other words, I would store the swf in a directory on my server, and call it from there or do you think I can still upload the swf like a banner but simply change the URL structure in the "add banner setup"? I'm a bit puzzled still.

I haven't tried whether it will accept .swf in upload or not... if not, then upload it into the directory and just add it manually as a banner without an image, removing {url} for the location of the .swf.

Uploading a banner makes a new folder inside "banners" but the banner doesn't display and reopening the saved zone, it says no image selected next to the upload button.

Hello everyone,

This is the next update of XenCentral Ad Server, mainly implementing notifications for admins and users on several events - upload of new banners, banner approval, expiration etc. The notifications are sent via Email or Alerts, configurable for each notification type in Admin Panel.

The version also includes a fix for the cases, when a zone displays banners in several positions of the same page, and in some cases the same banners were displayed due to random rotation. Now...

Got it installed, seems to be working, but was wondering if there is a way to modify template in order to have 2 zones above node list. Two 300x250 ads side by side is what I am looking to have. Can anyone assist with that?

You can create as many zones as you want with embedding. CSS how you want each zone to be, then insert the two embed codes for each zone, then input your banners.
