XenMedio has RSS feeds. So do the blog addons. I like RSS cause then I can make it go straight to my twitter and Facebook.

It's worth considering.

When the xenmediagallery.com site has been upgraded in a few seconds to RC2 you'll be able to log on and write a suggestion (so it doesn't get forgotten about in here).

After upgrading to XMG 1.3 would we be able to move existing media that we've posted already, into user albums?

Chris, apologies if it's been mentioned previously (I don't really have the time to sift through the 35pp of comments), but my biggest criticism is that it's difficult to move through a series of images. I'd really like to be able to hit the left/right buttons on my keyboard, or hit an embedded button in the image to load the next one in that category. There are Next/Previous buttons, but when you hit the next image, the window resets to the top of the page, and you have to scroll down to see what the next thing is... then go find the buttons again. Likewise for the fullscreen mode.

My only other concern is that looking at images is fundamentally different from reading a thread -- the image should be big, it should be centered, and the comments, image stats, number of times it's been liked, etc are really secondary to that. Make sure you're keeping the focus where it belongs. As I mentioned above, looking for next buttons, scrolling down, etc all take away from the enjoyment of looking at nice photos.

Bottom line is that I really like what you've done so far. And I especially like the "group" aspect of the categories. I see this getting being useful for an event -- create a category for it, and everyone can post their images to the same place. However, the basic useability/ui part still needs some work.

In the user albums in the 1.3 version will it be possible to choose which picture should be featured on the folder of the pics? Not just the first or the last? Maybe this has already been said and I apologize if it has! Can't wait!

At the moment, no you can't pick. But, this is what I have instead:

To view this content we will need your consent to set third party cookies.
For more detailed information, see our cookies page.

Each album maintains a cache (that's rebuilt where necessary) of 5 images. These cycle through giving you, what I feel to be, a wider preview of the album.

and that shows on phones like iphone or android when in responsive view?

I forgot, thanks. When I converted over from vB4 to Xenforo, Xenforo's importer turned vB4 Albums to threads. I still have some old threads that should have an album.

I don't particularly like the contents of Pinterest, but their design really stands out in terms of making photo browsing a pleasing experience, IMO.

FYI, @Chris Deeming , I'm posting here a couple screenshots to illustrate how Pinterest handles the individual photo pages(after you clicked through from the gallery homepage):

The first example is a photo uploaded directly by someone named 'Ellee'. This screenshot was taken when I hovered my mouse over the bottom of the photo, thus the "Pinned by Ellee ......." showed up. I've also made some brief notes about all the major elements that are related to our gallery add-ons:

The second example is one that uses an external URL as the photo's source. Again the "Visit weheartit.com" showed up because my mouse hovered over the bottom of the pic - only to demonstrate the feature. I've picked these two photos to cover the two very different situations where we need to note the source in different ways:
