I just found it by accident.

That's the only thing my mom uses besides email and ebay.

I currently am in "Photos".
I want to go back to the desktop.
What do I do ?
[esc] doesn't work. (heh: Alt+F4 works !).

A small red [x] in the top right would have cleared things up.

Just install Debian or Ubuntu and add Gnome, wine, and Play on Linux.

The majority of your problems will go "bye-bye".

Tablet: swipe down from the top to close. PC: "grab" top edge and swipe down to close.

Simple.

I've converted both of our work stations over to Windows 8 now and have no huge complaints. The UI requires some time to get use to, but overall, its been a solid experience.

Win 8 haters seem to be trolls. Why do they constantly complain about the metro view of Win 8 when everybody knows that it's garbage and noone would use it anyway? Disable it, ???, Profit!

When using a scrollbar on the right side of a screen (ie. using Chrome on Xenforo.com) I would accidentally popup a Windows 8 menu.
Finally resorted to this setting:

Are you using metro? Searching 'system restore' gives you 'create a restore point' under settings

I thought Windows 8 dropped "Backup".
I guess they just decided to hide it.
