Most of the changes needed to make it work with 1.2 are in the framework and that's not finished yet (most of the outstanding items are related to making the responsive features work). It will work "for the most part" as is, but there will be some bugs and missing functionality. If your tech guys run into any obstacles they can't overcome, have them drop me a message here and I'll be happy to help as much as I can.

Responsive design is optimizations for mobile. Take your browser and resize it to make it smaller and see how the forum reacts.
