The Canadian province of Alberta holding a vote on whether to hold a vote on independence from Canada. It failed even more miserably than we expected (76% voted to remain in Canada without a second referendum).
 
The weirdest thing I have seen all month would have to be when I was out with my daughter, and a homeless guy came up to us and asked us if we wanted this.

It was a pigeon's head. We have never walked off so fast!
