Hi @Xon Does this addon enable emails to be sent out to users for whenever a new thread is created in a thread? I would like to purchase but wanted to make sure.

This addon only sets the 'send alerts' flag and doesn't touch the 'send emails' flag. Please open a ticket on my site if you wish to commission that feature for this add-on

Can this addon assign a default watched forum to a new user based on custom user fields filled out during registration?

For example, if one of my new users selects "building permits" in a custom field asking their permit type of interest, I'd want them assigned to watch the "building permits" forum (and likewise for other permit types/forums), upon registration.

That isn't really supported, as it works off what user-groups are visible to the user.

I should have some time after new years if you would like to commission to have that changed (ie keyed off a custom field/user group membership as well)
