XF 2.1 VIRUS !!!! !!

That has to be a false positive. There is no way the XF staff would have a virus in the zip.

If there was even a chance, this would have been reported long ago.

I thought that too....I might try and see if the problem is on my host server or something. Will report back here when I find out something.

Do you have ClamAv on the server? If so that may need tweaking.

I think that's an OS alert on his device, rather than a server error.

What OS and what AV are you using?

I dunno, it says uploaded not download, so I assume it’s when he uploaded it to the server.

My OS is MacCatalina 10.15.6 there is no AV.....Not on a cheap ass Windows machine.

Yeah...I can download IPB UBB or V Bulletin and not having a problem...I will try and re-download Xenforo from here then try and upload it agian to the server....May have picked up a glitch or something on that first one.

I totally disagree on this. Although I am sure XF staff will do everything possible to protect against viruses or malware, this is something that could always happen. There are many examples of this, although I don't think it ever happend over here.
For example, the download location could be compromised at some point allowing a hacker to modify the archive.
Just saying there is no way this will happen with XF is ********.

How can I do that when I don't even have it installed yet.....Going to give my host one more try if that don't work I will use IPB instead.
