VaultWiki

VaultWiki [Paid] 4.1.7 Patch Level 1

No permission to buy ($15.00)
There are different payment models.
$10/month
$60/year
$150/one time

But yes, in theory you could pay $10 for one month and never upgrade and keep using VaultWiki forever.

Really improved the history tab for the next release. Not only does it look better, but it gives more detail about what was changed in each version: screen-version-history.webp

Since the recent release of XenForo 1.3.5 due to issues with XML security, I wanted to mention that VaultWiki uses separate XML parsing code for certain install/upgrade data, but it shares XML parsing code for other data with XenForo.

I have done some tests and I can confirm that were anyone to spoof the 1 or 2 files that use the VaultWiki XML parser, they would not be able to exploit the related XML vulnerabilities. VaultWiki attempts to normalize the output of the XML parser across different platforms, and an unintentional side effect of this normalization results in malicious XML becoming unreadable to the parser. Hence it becomes impossible to trick VaultWiki into parsing an XML bomb.

When did Vaultwiki get selective editing ? NICE !
Not sure if you're kidding, or if you didn't realize it's just the tooltip for the pencil icon.

Not only would it be next to impossible to find the correct location in the source BB-Code, but if you could make selective edits, we would probably see lots of broken tags due to only selecting opening or end tags. In short, it would be really easy to mess up your wiki content.

XenForo doesn't have Select-to-Edit. It has Select-to-Quote. Select-to-Quote uses a sort of WYSIWYG un-parser to get close to (but not necessarily exactly) the original BB-Code for a selection, and uses only that selection as part of a new post.

It's a different problem entirely to use a selection of likely incomplete HTML tags, try to un-parse those to the original BB-Code for the selection, find where in the original post that edit is supposed to be applied, and overwrite the original post with the changes.

I was just wondering the other day what the current demand for it would be. Well, ask and you shall receive. I've made a note at the support site so hopefully we can get a beta MediaWiki importer in the next release.

Forum attachments are linked to one user's forum account and wiki pages are not. Wiki pages are collaborative, so you must use an attachment system that supports collaboration.

The paid version has this in the FILE BB-Code. You should see it near the end of the editor toolbar. If you click on it, it will bring up a list of wiki attachments, and you can click the + to upload more.
