As long as it gets to the point and and users can follow it to treat their fish, then it doesn't really matter how long the post is.

Even if these are just tutorials or helpful article/informative pieces end them with a question.

That is what we do for articles on our website, end them with something like. Have you even come across this type of fish? How did you successfully treat it? What has worked for you? Etc try to encourage some response

I have been posting questions like stuff bout water conditioners. I know utah fishkeepers has been around for almost 2 years, but it has only started gaining some members recently.

I haven't put up flyers yet. People said that I shouldn't and that it wouldn't gain any members, but I am still not sure. I have been posting on my site.

Considering your site is a local site for the state of Utah flyers would be a good idea. If your target audience was a bigger area then it might not help but then again what harm does it do to try it?

There is a big GSLAS fish auction on october 15th. I could maybe promote my site there, but people might not take me serious because I'm a kid.
