And the RSS feed seems to only get the questions, not the answers. So I won't have to worry about the dumb answers some people post

Yes, it's a bad thing to use copied content from anywhere. The best way to start off a forum is by simply inviting members to join you one by one. You can use a post exchange to seed your forum first, that may help, but the only long-term way to success is by inviting members to join.
