XF 1.1 Users not getting confirmation emails?

Hi guys, my users aren't getting their confirmation emails.....what can be the cause of this?

is my site......I moved it from http://www.revillution.com/forums for Xenporta and using a route changer solution, but would that affect users not getting their emails?


Server-side: I forced my PHP version to 5.3 as my host has no intention of upgrading yet (did this through an apache handler) could that have affected it?

Try using a different mail server. Here is a guide for using Google as your SMTP server:

Also, make sure you're sending from an email address that will get bounced back to you so you can see the error message, if there is one. I've had bounce backs because the mail server was blacklisted by a spam service (because someone else on shared hosting abused it) so had to unlist it and eventually set up my own SMTP server to use instead. Others because the users had entered a wrong address, it happens. If they are not getting bounced back, it's often a sign they're going onto spam folders, see Jake's link above.

Jake, i think that guide is outdated, it's completely different looking then in the picture....
