XF 2.2 User still getting email notifications

User is still getting email notifications from followed content even after turning it off in their account preferences.

Is there anywhere in the admin I can check this is defo of for their account?

The member will also need to unwatch all content.

Ok but if he wants alerts but not emails. Does this mean despite changing the setting in his profile image has to unfollow everything then follow it again?

Alerts and emails are independent of each other.

You can have one, or the other, or both.

Indeed so why if he has turned off email in his settings is he still getting email alerts. In addition to changing the setting in preferences he as to also unwatch threads? Then he won't get alerts either?

So does the alert in the users preferences only change for future threads they watch?

The settings only apply to content created/interacted with from that point.

As I posted above, the member will need to unwatch any content they are already watching.
