XF 2.2 User Promotion - User Field Criteria

Hello, I am hoping to assign a usergroup based on anyone who completes a user profile field. Is there a way to have the "User value contains text:" pick up on anything inputted as the user's value?

Untested but try checking the box and not entering anything in the field.

You may want to test that in a test/dev installation before trying it on your production site.

Make sure you test that promotions and demotions work as expected.

I just tried checking and leaving the field blank, and then rebuilt promotions, but the promotion did not apply.

Edit: I know for searching, an * is the wildcard. Should that be used in the field, potentially?

Then it's not possible.

You would have to use a different approach, such as a checkbox.
