Any best practices for an effective lurker welcome notice? I'm seeing a lot of traffic coming to the site but it isn't translating into registrations.

What have you seen works to get the guests to register?

You could create a welcome notice describing what your community offers and what sets you apart from the others in your niche. I have the site description as the welcome notice on JoyFreak. Feel free to visit the site (link in my signature) for an idea.

I'm using a guests limitation add on. It allows 20 thread views per 24 hours. They get a notice after 10 views and invitation to register. Feel free to test it out on my site in the link.
