Looks like we'll have to keep our 1.5 upgrade on hold till we get updated XenTags that supports the core XF tagging system.

The update from resolveActionWithStringParam to resolveActionWithIntegerOrStringParam broke tags that have a period in them. For example: /tags/.com/

Also:

You've fixed the $indexer->insertIntoIndex() call in Page.php and Forum.php, but you missed Resource.php. On line 27, XenForo_Visitor::getUserId() needs to be changed to 0.

You should certainly use the core functionality over XenTag if you're on 1.5. The issue is that many of us already have a lot of tag data from XenTag that we need to migrate to the new system.

I'm worried about not being able to migrate existing tags and all of them suddenly turning into 404s.

That's what will happen if you do an upgrade at the moment. You'll either need to write your own migration utility or hope that someone else eventually releases one.
