i think - in the next days "xenforo sells a lot of boards"........... speakless, what i see there on the vb site. really speakless

Wow their company support forums are sooooooooo sloooooooowwwww now.

Man - that is painfully slow isn't it?

Someone didn't think things through very well either - URLs like this are rather ugly and incredibly long:

vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-announcements/vbulletin-announcements_aa/426951-vbulletin-5-connect-mobile-pricing#post426951

... or has it been like that since v4? I never really paid attention.

Every religion in existence should be offended because it takes just a little bit(maybe a lot) of evil and horror from each one to great such an abomination of a software, the speed, the coding(Opening page source makes me want to stab my eyes and beg for forgiveness for having witnessed something out the bloody necronomicon, even though I was told not too because it would drive me insane).

Don't even get me started on their buisness practice of releasing crappy alpha software as gold, like they did in vB4 and now 5. Their support staff's disgusting attidude, I miss Steve Machol.

This is a sign IB lost today and enabling vB5 was hammering the final nail into the coffin RIP IB once known as our beloved Jelsoft Limited.

Think if that was so, they won. It would be posted on this forum by now on the 20th by KAM themselves. The fact they haven't posted anything about what's gone on is more concerning, and IB decided to install vB5 between 13th and 20th to now showcase on vB.com itself is quite timely.

To be fair, we have no idea what has or hasn't happened in the settlement conference as it's all confidential. For all we know, the conference has carried on into another day again - last time, we had no idea that happened until the minutes were released a few days later. No news is not necessarily bad news!

Just pointing out there are two ways of looking at it. Yes, we known nothing until something hits Pacer, although how much will hit pacer and not be classed as confidential now?

Keep in mind: IF the outcome would be an "all win", I'll assume KAM will notify us within a minute. Not notifying us of the outcome likely means we -the customers- won't be very pleased about it.

I read this differently...that, outside of the lawsuit, vB.com's use of vB5 Connect is the nail in the coffin. (Seriously, the site is incredibly slow, confusing to use, and a mockery of good forum software...that's my opinion).

I don't expect anything to come from the settlement. I don't see any "bridge" between the parties positions on the merits. I could be wrong and maybe there is an offer that comes that is so favorable to XF that they accept. But, absent that, I don't think a settlement is in the offing. I could be wrong. As I sit here, I am just an arm-chair quarterback.

None of this changes my view that in the end XF is going to prevail.

Firstly pacer updates arent quick - probably wont hear anything on pacer till next week.

Secondly for all we know the talks are ongoing

Thirdly, there are no ways of looking at it - you'd be very naieve to have expected something to be posted by now. It's way too early days. The chance that vB5 being put on the main vB site yesterday likely has absolutely bugger all to do with the case.

We all know where everything is heading. IB will make a demand like XF shuts down, or is sold to them. XF will refuse and ask for all legal fees to be paid then walk away. Neither will come to a sensible arrangement, and we'll end up having it decided by the judge in March.

Suggesting that not hearing anything is bad is complete fud and will result in the closure of yet another thread.

(Note: IANAL and dont pretend to be one - just reiterating what people keep having to say when someone starts off on how everything is 'bad')

Clarifying:
Not to hear anything (keeping the total silence) AFTER a settlement has been reached would suggest bad news.
True, but there is zero evidence a settlement has been reached right now. Sure if pacer comes out confirming a settlement and we hear nothing after a few days, then yes, its time to worry. Chances of this happening though (A bad settlement that is) are next to zero.
