XF 2.1 The Board URL option does not match the site URL configured for your license.

When I go to my admin panel I see this message.
  • The Board URL option does not match the site URL configured for your license.
I am pretty sure that the Board URL option and the URL configured to my license are the same, I double checked just in case.
I know this question has been asked before and the solution was to check the URL and make sure you uploaded the correct License file, I am almost certain the URL isn't the issue and I'm not exactly sure what is meant by License file. Any clarification would be appreciated.

That message is only displayed if:
  • the URL listed against your license in your customer account is wrong, or
  • files from another license have been used

As a hint: I see this message in my testforum, because the subdomain doesn‘t match. Check if you entered it in the license.
eg: license domain.com
Forum g forum.license.com

this will throw that message.

Note that we don't necessarily check this constantly. It does look like you've just made an update to your site URL around the time you posted this, so I'm guessing the next check hasn't happened yet. This is done as part of the upgrade check, so you can force it via tools > check for upgrades.
