It is because of integration in GFNKraken not XenGallery. You should check above replacement because it will works or it will show different not the one posted.
You cannot do that. That is the concept of XenGallery. However, there is an addon I developed to attach photo/video directly into the category, so when access category you can see both albums and contents. But these contents actually still belong to some specific albums.

I tried the replacement. It did not work. Like I said above, it stopped uploads at 90% and froze.

Can you build the option into XenGallery to bypass the album feature? When your site functions similar to imgur/tumblr/instagram - then choosing an album is not needed. We want to put pictures in categories only - no albums.

Can you put that ability in an update? If not, then myself and probably some others can't really use this addon for anything. I know for a fact that my users do not want to create or select an album every time they upload - but picking only a category is ok.

I'd really like to just eliminate categories and albums all together and use tags to organize pics. That would be the best way for sites like mine.

I believe it works since the structure of the addon was not changed since the last version.

I checked and the latest XenMediaGallery is 1.04. But I'd like to use yours as it has the video upload/streaming add-on and after looking at the demo, it seems cooler to me.

Does it have full permission support? Only members in a particular group are allowed to access the gallery.

Yes of course. There are 3 kinds of widget with bunch of options to play with.

Okay I just bought the gallery. Everything installed perfectly. However, I don't see how to import existing XMG albums/pictures. I only saw something about importing "threads". Please help! Also, I use a dark theme and certain items don't show up unless hovered on. See screenshot.

You might need to edit some CSS. Please start a conversation with me, I will give you exact details based on your style.

You need to install Widget Framework addon. Then go to: Appearance -> Add widget.

Okay thanks! It worked! But now for some reason, users with photos don't show the "Photos" tab on the profile (except on my admin account). All I did was change to a light them and disabled some unrelated add-ons.

Not sure if this is something only affecting our site but we are seeing a lot of these kind of error thumbnails popping up on uploaded youtube videos @sonnb

I haven't tried a Youtube video. I successfully uploaded an MP4 but no other "supported" format would work and produced a large entry in my server log (see your video upload discussion thread).

6th May, Youtube killed the v2 API, that why you get that thumbnail. I will update to fix it. API v3 requires API key.

It will not be shown if they do not have any photo yet.

I confirmed that several of my members have albums with photos, but when viewing their profiles, the "Photos" tab does not show up...

Fixed. It turns out that imported albums/pictures don't show up in Profile->Photos. But new ones do!
