XF 2.2 Some posts are not showing History, others do

So this is strange. As an admin I usually can see the history of posts (not talking about threads). But some posts don't display that option. What am I missing?

The History link is only present if the post has been edited.

It's the moderator permissions which allow history to be viewed, not administrator.

One more thing. ► Where could I adjust the cut-off date to flush the history records?

I see this under one of the posts: "Some older edit history records have been removed."
