Any possibility for adding ratings to categories? Or having parent items? Take Netflix, for example. You have a TV series (parent item), with multiple children (episodes). You don't want to rate each episode, you want to rate the entire series. Anything like that possible?

Its not possible in core and would require a lot of customization to do that.

How well do individual showcase items get indexed by google? Any tips for increasing visibility? Subjectively, it seems that xenforo pages get the upper hand in indexing. Not sure why or whether this is actually true.

Pretty good from my experience, specially those with the rate/review micro data.

I don't see why I can't. Its an extremely versatile addon. You could for example have a category for Member of the Month, set that category to only allow Admins to create items, then create an item for each member of the month. You could then use the Forum Home Node List Items block to display items just from the Member of the Month Category (or the same thing with the sidebar block) (also there are XenPorta blocks and BD Widgets that can do the same). For the time slips stuff... SC has Custom Fields, so yes, that is very easy. @MattW has even posted examples on the support site.

The users put their own information into the custom fields, and those pages are generated based off that.

The xenforo pages then use a PHP callback to my own PHP file which gets the custom field information, and uses googles chart API to generate the tables.
