As designed Share page can't be turned off

I'm not sure if this is a bug, an oversight, or intentional.

But, you can't turn off the share page macro in thread_view and page_view.

In other words, there's no option to turn it off. But you can turn off the widget on the main page.

It's not a widget so it's expected.

You would have to edit it out of the template if you don't wish to show it. Or, if you don't want any share options at all, toggle the individual sharing options off under Options admin.php?options/groups/sharing/
