Hi,
I test Amazon SES with Sendy to see if it could work for me. I do not use yet the available Xenforo Sendy addon, because I want to see first, how this works out without the XF Sendy addon.
This here is a very good video on how to set this up, by the way:
Everything is done now to properly use Sendy with Amazon SES. I have verified all my domains with Amazon SES and I am no longer in sandbox mode.
As a next step I created a campaign in Sendy (only words, no links) and sent a test email to my test account at mail-tester.com.
I got a score of 9.4/10, which is already very good. But with my own server (without Sendy/Amazon SES), I got a 10/10 in the past.
These are the errors I get with Sendy/Amazon SES:
The biggest one in red is a blacklist entry.
There is probably nothing I can do about it as long as I do not use a dedicated Amazon IP address only for me for 25 USD/month.
But the others in orange make me think. Especially this one:
How can I improve on these?
