s9e Media Sites 2.15.6

No permission to download
I don't have any immediate plans for odysee.com, but I try to keep an eye on Lbry-based sites for the long term. P2P websites generally require more processing on my side and they have a higher maintenance/upkeep too, and at the moment the P2P landscape is too unstable for me to commit. If that site is important enough to your forum that you'd like to sponsor its addition you can send me a direct message and I will look into it asap.

The official documentation for media sites is at https://xenforo.com/docs/xf2/bbcode/#bb-code-media-sites -- Note that media sites are a XenForo feature, they don't require this add-on to be used. You can create your own media sites independently and if you're having any issues creating your own, you can ask about it in the general support forum.

Probably a dumb question but some of my members are asking why TikTok videos that they post from mobile do not embed, but if they use their laptop it works fine. Any idea?

Do they post the same URL from their mobile as they do from their laptop? Do they use a third party application to access your forum from their mobile?

Youtube half year ago added new type of short video with link https://youtube.com/shorts/id (for example https://youtube.com/shorts/2nFvM59nH8E ). So regular expression for YouTube need tweaks.

so vm. links are not embedding from the looks of it.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMe9wsMrf/

these links are embedding on my board. tiktok is blocked here in india but embeds do load over vpn.

Short URLs (those that start with "vm.") have to be resolved, and it's possible that TikTok rejects the request or that the're another issue that prevents the server from connecting to TikTok.

Make sure you have the latest version of the add-on and check out XenForo's admin logs for PHP errors.

I'll check, thank you!

Has anyone noticed Facebook embeds in the last couple days show this error?

Cannot load Facebook SDK. Disable any adblocker or tracking protection and try again.

Happens in both Chrome and Firefox browsers I tested. May not be an add-on specific issue.

There hasn't been any changes related to Facebook in the last few months. If you see this error message it means your browser or your computer is blocking Facebook. Either an adblocker or some kind of privacy extension. Firefox, Opera, and a few other browsers have those built in.
