feature request: set default filter by resource category, like the recommendation below but for any field.

Thank you for the suggestion. We have added it to our TODO list, but we don't have an ETA for the implementation for now.

Thank you!

AddonsLab updated Resource Filter by AddonsLab with a new update entry:

XenForo 2.1.x compatibility

The add-on is now tested and verified with XenForo 2.1.0 + XenForo Resource Manager 2.1.0 + XenForo Enhanced Search 2.1.0. This release also contains a minor fix for our customers who use Resource Filter with Thread Filter, which would cause one of the add-ons breaking when another one is uninstalled. This version is also fully compatible with XenForo 2.0.x version.

The new version is available for all licensed customers at...

XenForo Resource Manager 2.1.x compatibility

The version includes a compatibility fix for Resource Manager 2.1.x. Due to the nature of the issue from now on each release will contain two files, one for Resource Manager 2.0.x and one for 2.1.x. Please make sure to download the correct package for your version.

The new version is available for all licensed customers at

Feel free to suggest further enhancements for the add-on or report any issues you...

In xf1 the custom fields are blobs; the only search addon for these fields is from Andy B, he selects all(!) fields and search inside the array.
So please tell me: which type of fields are the firlds in Xf2? Also blobs? or something you can search for in one select?

In XenForo 2.x they are also blobs, that's why our add-on keeps a separate table with custom field values in a normalized way (each value as a row), indexes this information in the search index (MySQL or ElasticSearch) and uses the index to search/filter with direct queries. Searching values in blobs by unserializing them and processing them in PHP is a very inefficient way of filtering.

Elasticsearch 2.x compatibility with other minor fixes

The version fixes a PHP error caused by Elasticsearch 2.x incompatibility. Your installation is not affected by the issue if filtering brings any results with ES enabled. We have also implemented a new option to set Cache TTL controlling how long the results of the search should be cached in the MySQL database. Setting the option to 0 will disable the cache. The option should be used only to troubleshoot issues that could be caused by invalid cache.

Due to a limitation on how many items are...

Hello, @Ruben.Oldenburg !

It seems you are using Resource Manager 2.1.x which had some change compared to 2.0.x version, that forced us to publish two packages of Resource Filter. Please check the detailed page for your license, and you will see there are two packages available:

203535

The one for your case is for Resource Manager 2.1.x.

We will change the order of files now, so that the "Latest version" download uses 2.1.x compatible version by default.

Thank you!

Dependency added: [AL] Core Package

This is a minor release, that changes the way the add-on is using some of our shared PHP classes. From now on, the add-on will require a core library package from https://xenforo.com/community/resources/al-core-package.7382/ to be installed. Please download the package and install it before upgrading the add-on. Please upgrade all other AddonsLab add-ons you are using to their latest versions if you see an error in the Admin Panel about files with unexpected content.
