Reddit style node

The thread list has pagination, then the post length is dynamic based on browser. The users that wanted the tabs didn't understand you need to be logged in to use replies etc. If you have a long post and someone replies in the centre the alert takes you to that post and new posts are marked as new. Everything uses very little space, is very fast, and intuitive.
So when a user scrolls down the page of a thousand post thread, the posts will load dynamically as you scroll? Similar to how your infinite scroll add on works?

Scrolling through posts is dynamic to width, it fills the screen then to continue you click + which opens the next batch. Is that what you asking?

Yes, that answers, thanks. I also use your realtime threads add on. Is it, or will it be functional with this?

I still think some of my users will prefer the old thread/post display styling and would be great to have an option for them to use that, if they choose.

To clarify. Those are not my addons. I'm simply the guy that paid to get some updated and get a couple made. Realtime threads and alerts are scheduled for January.

Yeah its about choice. I use both on my one site with an old member base they are not enthused the younger folks love it though. Its still be developed I'm gathering comments for possible improvements.

Thanks, sounds great.

If I install it and decide it’s not for my site, can I simply disable it and the thread/post styling will go back to the old standard form? Just confirming nothing is permanently altered.

You can't buy the new node "Topics" its undecided if it will be released. I have not tested converting a node to normal, I'd never do that personally but I suppose another user might.

I still don’t understand how a thread will look when it has 300 replies to the OP.
Me either. If you'd like to create an account and test it please do. I can delete the account later. The site is live but only in a soft open mode so I don't mind testers using the Topic's. It's helping me move it along.

I still can't figure out some things. How does it look like with threads type Article? Will it be a separate page with nested comments under the article? Or will all threads still be in the form of drop-down pages, in nodes? Because I still can't open any thread in a new tab separately from other threads.

An article is an article, this is a hierarchical thread type. There are no pages in this type, it's all done in the node.

Node title
- threads (list)
- posts

Again, try it live. Use the AI forum so replies are automatic. I'll delete your account when you're done and all these threads will get deleted as well.

Very nice. Something I'd use and happily throw some cash at to help with development.

Some concerns for me, though, as someone who uses comments systems already, are what this would look like with different BB codes (e.g., quotes, pictures, and media videos), as when used on current comment systems, they don't always display well, especially on mobile devices.

You could just let your AI Bots "chat" amongst themselves to generate replies ;)

I’m using it on mobile and I like it there even better but the Lightbox is a question we’re dealing with.

This is what I'm talking about, this is exactly what I would like to see. If you decide to release this addon with such a function, then I will buy at least 2 licenses.
Well its not far sale and what you're asking doesn't make any sense in this format so it won't happen.
