Problem with media embedding

Hi!

I have two threads that start with a posting with embedded media. Both threads show only the first postings in Firefox:

In Safari both threads are shown in full:

Both pictures show different threads but the problem is the same: in Firefox even the "edit" link is missing.

I thought it might be connected to my signature so I deleted it and nothing changed.

I use Firefox 4.0.1 on Mac OS X (10.6.7).

The NoScript developers haven't reacted yet, I have changed the media embedding to omit the fullscreen parameter and now everything works fine.

BTW: I was contacted by more users having the same problem.

I find the rise of the use of NoScript to be very disturbing. When someone reports some sort of issue on any website I work on, its 100% of the time, the fault of FireFox and/or NoScript.

The internet today pretty much requires scripting, and to do a blanket denial of all scripting is just plain asinine. People need to remember that for every step you take towards security, you take a step backwards in convenience.

You're absolutely right. Convenience and security go hand in hand very seldom.
But NoScript today is the only thing that can stop drive-by-downloads to some extend.
