Wow I had around 6 items in Login Items and 3 items in StartUpItems to remove that I never use.

There are some other stuff that I don't want starting automatically so I gotta read the article some more to find where to turn those off.

Alright so this app seems like it may help but some of the reviews are kind of fishy.

K I bought and installed Lingon and disabled several process to programs I never use. Gonna restart.

For what it's worth, a lot of people over at macrumours and a few video communities still use their Pros but quite a lot have purchased similar or better systems with the Z820. They've been RED, Adobe and Avid certified for production use. The Z820 performs better than the 2010 Pro, but I don't know or if it'll get a refresh before the new year. I'm guessing they'll put the base with a E5-1650 Xeon which will add another hundred to their base. Looking at getting a MBP 15" Retina as an Xmas present to myself. Not too happy with the lack of drive and ability to service yourself. Any idea what a 2008 17" MacBook Pro will sell for? I'm thinking somewhere around $320 if I'm lucky.

Like what? I see different graphics, a better power saving mode and nothing else.

Notifications is fabulous. Plus i like being able to update Twitter/Facebook without having to login and get distracted by the newsfeeds and flood of tweets.

Add to Internet Accounts in the Control Panel
