XF 1.2 Page hangs with Safari (OS X Mavericks)

One member of my forum is getting a lot of page hangs, e.g. up to a minute then the page loads.

He doesn't get this on other forums he frequents, and he doesn't get it with Firefox. I have had no other reports. I've been using the same version of Safari/Mavericks myself and no problems. 7.0.1 (9537.73.11)

He has tried deleting the Safari preference file but that didn't help.

I assume this may be difficult to troubleshoot, but I wonder if anyone has any idea what can be causing this?

Do you have a lot of plugins that require JavaScript?

I have these two and they work fine in Safari on OSX Mavericks.

Yes, this is the thing, the whole site works fine for me with Safari on OSX Mavericks so it's hard to troubleshoot for the member for whom there is a problem.

When the problem is limited to an individual user then it's usually browser related.

All you can ask them to do is clear browser cache and disable any browser extensions/add-ons.
