Open Attached Images in a Lightbox

I too feel that the lightbox pulling every image from the thread rather than the individuals post would be a bad move. If I'm wanting to view other images within the thread I'll venture to that respected post to view those attachments.

I really hope there's consideration about pulling every image from the thread. Pulling the attachment imagery from that 1 post seems to be the logical step to take.

i dont really like all the sig images and whatnot finding their way into the lightbox, nor do i like all the other images in the page dumped into the lightbox.
i will stick with the highslide hack.

Just make it an option. This is one of those times where I believe opinions are going to be split right down the middle. There are plenty of scenarios where pulling all attachments at once would be easy and enjoyable, and there are just as many scenarios where it would be illogical and/or unnecessary.

And I also suggest that Lightbox should only pick all images from the post only and not entire thread. Consider boards where threads tend to be several hundred pages, specially image critic boards where members post images, then it's gonna be very difficult if all of those images get loaded up by the lightbox.

If it must be, then we should have it as an option, whether all images of thread/post should be loaded.

I'm going to against the grain here and say I prefer the current look of the lightbox rather than Shelley's mockups.

I like the striped background, the lack of a thick white border around the selected image and I prefer the simple navigation arrows which don't wrap around the container.

There is no option to pick up all images from the entire thread, it picks up all images from the current page.

One comes to mind, you prefer the previous icon overlayed upon the image? I'm finding it hard how you prefer an icon overlayed on an image rather than being separated from it.

The previous and next navigation arrows only appear when mousing over the container so I don't have a problem with them.

shelley, the fact that brogan doesnt like your mockups amounts to... brogan doesnt like your mockups.
i wouldnt let the opinion of one person determine whether or not it is worthwhile to post mockups.

But still I would like it, if it picked only from single post. At least admins should have an option to set it. Opinions guys?

I spent the time in creating the mockups, I'd like the same respect back in some kind of reason why (although the mockups earlier looks a little hideous). Takes but a few minutes to say rather than dismissing it all.

I'm not sure what more I can say in addition to my first post which is that I prefer the striped background, the lack of a white border and the current navigation arrows.
Why do I prefer the current design? Personal preference.

I wasn't going to post my comments for fear of this sort of reaction.
I'll refrain from doing so in future.

It would be nice to be able to add 'Caption' to each image(s) shown and have it slide up from bottom of image.

Caption attach option to each image (# characters)
Original Poster select to allow attach from others within same thread or page
Add Title to each image
Read PDF files
Upload Flash (Admin Only) and use most common video media format.
Replace BBCODE 'Media', '' or enable disable per forum while LightBox in use.
Add Image to Poll:

• Grid Thumbs and caption preview,
• allow poster to add attach. to poll,
• preview within lightbox

Beyond scope of thread, but just want to have a place where I can go back to....

This is frustrating. If you know me by now and my style of posting paul you know I embrace constructive feedback. It's the lack of reasons what get's my goat.

Kier posted the preview. What if I said. "I hate it"? He's left wondering "what does she hate, I have nothing to base her lack of reasons to improve upon what her/people don't like. This is the kind of reaction I got from the other thread. No, It's not because the criticism was negative, it's because there was no criticism at all.

I'm done with this meaningless thread.

Would like to see you make more suggestion on this and maybe in one of the 'Suggestion' forums. Do not get derail by comments posted (face to face interaction is the best form of communication), as what is posted is the shorten version of someones thoughts and not was really meant....

Well, i am excited with the lightbox but didnt love it at all. I personally hated the scanlines that making me dizzy. And, Shelley's mockups made me wow.
Also, when we navigating the images, cant we show ajax loading msg or something?
I hope there will be an option to load current posts pics or entire pages pics. That would be really good.
