Invision community Vs Xenforo

Elementary. The same article published in Xenforo 2.3 and the same in PhPbb3, but on different domains. The one in PhPbb3 is indexed, but the one in XenForo 2.3 is not. Again, I really hope the domain is a problem, or VPS, not XenForo, but we'll see.
That's what can happen with duplicate content though. Do you have a link to the articles?

Invision staff are salty of xenforo staff. So the mock and mimik each other.
Except invision are the most expensive forum out there.
There are enterprise solutions like Higher Logic and Salesforce.

What I personally think is a partitioning in the Marketplace and targeting different audience. Some companies are moving upstream (for better or for worse). I appreciate that Xenforo stays as a very affordable solution, with a very robust community.

Xenforo is more affordable than invision.
I for one don't want to be paying twice a year for a poorly handled software. Invision make you pay every 6 months and do bugger all

Again. You don't pay twice a year. You pay once a year @ $199.

I understand you are in love with xenforo, but, saying things that you say about other software without even looking at facts makes you look bad.

Invision version 4 charges renewals of $40 every 6 months (so 2 times a year for a total of $80) while invision version 5 charges renewals once a year of $199.

XenForo seem cheap at first but come with hidden costs for add-ons, themes, or essential features.
But no addons or themes are compulsory. I haven't had to buy any themes, and addons I use are not anything I actually rely on. So I do think xenForo, if not "cheap" is affordable.

That applies to every platform, not just XenForo.

If you think XF is bad, look at Shopify or Wordpress, where most minor features cost about $20/m, and a lot of the time you're sifting through absolute garbage to find a feature that is actually usable.

To build a forum, XenForo seems to be the most sensible choice. Especially because of its pricing scheme.

Check facts. Then post.
i have found that goes against a certain type of followers philosophy, not only in software but in other aspects of life.
facts cannot be allowed to get in the way of personal beliefs.

not correct.
you can no longer renew on the old style license from what my friend commented on.
you must upgrade to the new license of $199 a year.
he tried to upgrade his older license under the old terms and was told he could not.
he did not renew under the new one as he is still leery about how long it will offer self hosted.

as my friend said about this.
only if you want a forum based site.
if you want more you will pay more.
i am blessed that he recently helped me out on my site by buying two add ons for it that makes it easier to find for my site.
