Implemented Image and Media gallery must be INTEGRATED

Image and video gallery that is actually INTEGRATED with the forums. ALL images and video that has been uploaded should categorizable, searchable and should be EASILY organized and reused by the member. Take a look at http://www.plupload.com/ for an upload system that resizes the image ON THE WORKSTATION. This is huge, as most people don't have a clue how to resize an image and get frustrated when their 5 MB image takes forever to upload.

It seems the devs dont want topics and threads but the users have a demand for it so it appears in Whats New.
What's New is the defacto place to go to find out if there has been an content change since your last visit.

So what's the compromise?
Coding to make new content items appear in "Whats New" (comments or images or whatever) has to be the compromise.

That's not currently possible. What's New needs an overhaul to make it possible.

I sometimes (or often lately) wonder what the true value is of the amount of likes on a suggestion and therefor if they are indeed a real good indication of how many people want/need the requested functionality? In the above case with User Albums (although the title only speaks of a Gallery, so that's a bit confusing to begin with) one would think that there would be a considerably big demand for this. Since many people coming from vB 3.x are using User Albums and are in need of migrating to XF. But the suggestion only gets 19 likes. When looking at a plugin like this one there are more then 100 reviews (meaning at least 100 installs, I don't know?). So, the demand seems much higher when looking at the purchases of that product, compared to the amount of likes on the requested feature.

Two important 'social' functionality/areas/content types are missing for us to be able to migrate to XF in the first place from vBulletin 3.8. And this has been the situation since 2010 actually. I wonder how much more years we need to wait to be able to finally transfer our User Albums and User Blogs to Xenforo. Albums and Blogs are a key aspect in social media and it is unfortunately completely missing in Xenforo (apart from third party plugins).

(Potential) customers of XF can not transfer if they want their Albums and Blogs supported by XF. I did not check the following products in recent times (so I am not aware of their state now), but half a year ago this was the unfortunate status of the 2 most used Blog plugins:

http://xenforo.com/community/threads/xi-blog-paid.31611/page-33#post-685043

... exactly the reason why I never want to depend on third parties to support key functionality of my platform.

Recently we got in trouble because we were not running the latest version of vB (3.8.8 beta) and that appeared the only version that supports PHP 5.4.0. or higher, where our hostingprovider migrated to recently. We are now forced to use a beta vB version on our production site, since it's the only version supporting this PHP version. The more the web develops, the more we stay behind with vBulletin 3.x .... whereas Xenforo is state of the art. But we can simply not migrate to that until it finally supports Albums and Blogs. I still haven't learned to not take 'non-officially posted' comments too serious, so maybe this remark is a little hope things are coming?

XenForo Media Gallery is available now. Please see our announcement for more information:

It is worth noting that there have been a lot of suggestions within this thread which I haven't read in full. Aside from the availability of an integrated Media Gallery (which is what XenForo Media Gallery provides) if there are additional suggestions relating to functionality, please now post them in this forum: https://xenforo.com/community/forums/media-gallery-suggestions.86/

This suggestion is not implemented. XenForo Media Gallery does not allow categorization, searching and reuse of forum attachments.
