Hosting Recommendations - Aus/NZ Sporting Website

Hi guys, need some recommendations.

Few facts as below:
- I am currently on a shared server located in Australia (www.ventraip.com.au).
- I have about 50 members + 120 visitors online at any given time
- Usually the max number of members + visitors at our busiest perior would be around 500.
- Majority of my visitors are from Australia and NZ (70-80%)
- website is at www.nzwarriors.com
- Using google pagespeed CDN(?).

With my current setup i find issues with memory usage ( i get a lot of memory usage exceeded) etc and once every couple of weeks my resource hits 100% and they take me offline for a few mins.

With my current forum setup, do i really need a VPS? I would think not.

Is there anything out there comparable or better hosting wise which would be better served for my community? I want good response times from australia/nz, decent price, (APC or memcached installed would be a plus), and with good resource allocation so i dont hit these barriers. I contacted my hosting company in the past and they told me to further optimise the website, i have it optimised in cpanel and even using google pagespeed.

What can i do? Any hosting recommendations? I assume having a host in Australia/NZ would be better due to latency?

They aren't in NZ but I highly recommend xfhost.me Mike Edge is hosting several big sites and they seem to be doing well on his servers.

I believe their latency would be too much for what we need, plus i wish they had a free trial so i could test it out

Montreal Canada. Anthony Parson's did some testing from Melbourne yesterday for me. Said pages loaded in under 1.5 sec and some pings..

64 bytes from: icmp_seq=9 ttl=51 time=23.149 ms

64 bytes from: icmp_seq=11 ttl=51 time=31.185 ms
64 bytes from: icmp_seq=12 ttl=51 time=22.998 ms

So really good pings..

I'll test out Mike's server for anyone in Australia if interested. I have purchased a months worth of hosting with a private 2gb cache.

As for those pings listed...they were from xfhost.net and not xfhost.me correct? It seems that xfhost.net is cloudflare enabled hence the pings are obviously going to be fast if it is served to us by a data centre closer to us. xfhost.me on the other hand is not enabled.

Judging by all that i dont think a ping of xfhost.net is fair correct?

I will still give your hosting a go, and as per my email will arrange for a time that is suitable.
