Bless your heart. Everything is going to be okay. That was not a heart thump. It was a nazi salute. He did it more than once.
Absolutely this. We need to normalise not calling people genius so much because he is anything but.He may be the richest man in the world but he's certainly not the brightest.
I can confirm that this is the same in Argentina. If you knew how many times I had to kinda do a nazi gesture just for a taxi bc otherwise they’d pass by. I just make sure I do not stand firm on the ground but kinda put my right foot a bit further.Maybe in tea land, but in Japan land you have to be at least at a 45° nazi gesture or drivers will just assume you're pointing and pass you by.
Yep agree.Absolutely this. We need to normalise not calling people genius so much because he is anything but.
So this is how you order tea in Japan?Maybe in tea land, but in Japan land you have to be at least at a 45° nazi gesture or drivers will just assume you're pointing and pass you by.
The so-called roman salute was actually never roman - there is absolutely no historical evidence. It was a thing invented in the early days of Italian cinema, then adapted by the Italian faschists around Mussolini and then in the 1920s taken over by the faschists around Hitler, where it became the official Nazi-guestures, called the "Deutscher Gruss".many supporters (accepting it was a salute) called it a "Roman salute". So that's alright then.
If he had done that in Germany he would have gone straight to jail. Being German I obviously have quite a background around these things and seeing someone showing this gesture during a presidential inauguration is raising very bad feelings. This guy is either a nazi or a blanterous idiot or both at the same time. Even the most stupid person on earth would know that this gesture ist completely inadequate at an event like that - no matter what the intentions may be. So the least what it proofs is that Elon is an ignorant idiot with no sense for history and no respect for others. And that is the most positive interpretation possible.I don't believe he was actually intending to do a nazi salute
Btw. especially when having two more things in mind:So the least what it proofs is that Elon is an ignorant idiot with no sense for history and no respect for others. And that is the most positive interpretation possible.
You will buy anything, won't you?Coincidently Mr Trump pardoned on the same day 1.500 rioters from jan 6th, including the people that killed policemen
Interesting description of what happened on Jan6th.You will buy anything, won't you?
1500 weren't rioters, they were let in...
So, as you did not say otherwise you really do order tea in Japan using the Nazi-salutation?
Maybe in tea land, but in Japan land you have to be at least at a 45° nazi gesture or drivers will just assume you're pointing and pass you by.
FWIW, we should clarify if tea land, or any references to tea when speaking of the UK, are (racial?) slurs. I really don't want to offend employees of a UK company over tea since you all wanted to die over it so badly before and all...
The Boston Tea Party is widely considered a pivotal event that significantly contributed to the American Revolution.
In the American Revolution, the primary combatants were the American colonists, known as "Patriots", fighting against the British Army
Nobody hails a cab with a nazi salute. You hail a cab by stretching your arm out more or less to the side as you are actually watching the oncoming tragic and your arm goes out sideways to give it full visibility to the can driver of any nation. If you did a nazi salute the oncoming traffic probably wouldn't see it to well (luckily for you). This reply also means that you must hail a taxi at about a 45-degree angle "nazi salute" in Japan, or they will drive by,
ExactlyFirst picture I could find of a cab being hailed in Japan it looks the same as we would do anywhere.
As in Japan (as in the UK) people drive on the wrong side of the road you'd wave a taxis with your left arm whereas the Nazi-salutation is done with the right arm. So not only the gesture is not comparable, it is even done with the wrong arm as well.Note:
1500 weren't rioters, they were let in... and have served like 3 years in jail. You get like 30 days, max, after like your 10th 86 (trespass) in the county jail, if not just another citation. But, let's make 1500 people serve 3 years for 1 trespass incident; that seems fair. As far as the people (6) that might have assaulted officers, they were commuted, and they're still investigating whether their actions merit a full pardon or not.
And the policemen that died? I want to say that four were from suicide after Jan. 6 and two were natural causes after Jan. 6. If this was such a traumatic event for them, I don't know how they did their jobs before, either with military backgrounds or responding to domestic abuse calls, that might've been the root cause. But, let's blame it on PTSD from January 6. Give me a break. Those officers were going to break at some point, be it the next domestic violence call or stumbling on a gruesome crime scene, since they didn't get the help needed to prevent it.
Really?Only one person died on J6, an unarmed woman named Ashley Babbit. She was murdered by a rogue Capitol cop.
