I had some grudging respect for Musk for what Tesla and SpaceX accomplished. More respect for their actual engineers but it was his vision and money backing them. But he has squandered all that with his antics of the past few years. I wouldn't even buy a Tesla now. Don't want to put cash in his bank account and there's other good options for EVs now.

Elon is actually heavily involved in all processes of manufacture in both Tesla and SpaceX.

He might not have all the technical knowledge, but he isn't afraid to put his money where his mouth is.

He is a firm believer in being an active presence in the workplace.

And how does he plan to keep that up while also holding a key role in the Trump administration. Burning the candle at multiple ends will just do all his endeavours a disservice. And I have my doubts even absent his new role. His erratic behaviour of late could be burnout.
