GoodForNothing Classifieds [Paid] [Deleted]

I set up a package for EACH of my user groups.
The idea is that each group pays a different percentage amount.
When I tested them, however, more than that one group is displayed. Something is wrong here.

Only Donors should show. But it shows Registered also. With other groups, more packages show, even though I created ONE package per group:

But that is incorrect for the addon. There has to be some way to charge a basic registered user MORE because they are not a donor or a participant.

Also, the STAFF package is designated as all the moderators and admins, but when you go to sell, Registered, Donor and Staff packages come up:

It looks like the addon is using the users actual groups, instead of the group access that is set.

Yes, and I am looking what can be done for these scenarios.

Like I said earlier, this add-on checks in which groups a user belong to. And as long as one group matches, the package becomes available to the user.
You are seeing three packages because:
  • Registered - That is the primary user groups for any user, as long as you don't manually change it from AdminCP.
  • Donors - The system has associated this group as a secondary user group.
  • Staff - Again, your secondary user group has at least one of the four selected user groups available for the package.

Yes. I liked the design too and was planning to ask you guys if I should change the layout to how @DPF has done. :)
Are you going to do this? I want to make my Classifieds look like DPF's and I don't want to go through all the Template changes if you're going to do this in the next version.
So, if you could let us know I'd appreciate it.

When viewing the classifieds with a mobile view, there are a couple things that might work better.

1) On mobile view, I notice that the categories are listed after the list/grid of classifieds. Is there a way to add a 3-line (hamburger) menu at the top for category navigation? Even a link/bookmark at the top to the categories at the bottom would be helpful.

2) Also on mobile view, when you are in the middle of a bunch of ads (in grid view), it becomes difficult to tell which picture belongs to which ad. The ads have no major separation from one another, so it could look like the picture goes to the ad above or below. Can we add a stronger separator (maybe darker or thicker) or maybe some extra space between ads (for mobile grid view).

For my forum, the current location system would make things complicated. I currently use a drop down list of cities where users make the choice and would like to keep it that way.

Thank you.

What you can do is disable the original location module and just set up a custom classified field containing the list of cities. :)

Shouldn't these be overriden when I select a package being available to certain groups only?
Otherwise, what is the use of designating a package for a certain group?

Not all users are donors. It should not be associating all registered users with donors.

I don't understand.
maybe @Mr. Goodie2Shoes could implement exclusions, so you can exclude some usergroups to see specific packages

Donor see "Donor's package" but is excluded from "Active packages"
Active see "Active's package" but is excluded from "Donor packages"
Registered can't create Classified (is the primary user group for all)

Thoughts on this @Mr. Goodie2Shoes ?
