Food Fantasia

I'm doing a chicken curry too with home made naan bread. When getting the ice-cream out of the freezer I notice a couple of chicken breasts so they're now defrosting in the fridge.

LOL... ordinarily I would find that amusing, but the Tardis probably has a huge fridge, so I can understand you not really knowing what's in there.

Chicken tikka masala.. a la DF... with thanks to Sanjay, my Indian Curry Guru...

Okay it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as Dragonfly's Delectable Dishcussion (< see what I did thar! ;))

Here's my Chicken Curry, with Egg Fried Rice and Naan Bread. I also had a loaf of bread which didn't have much life left in it so I made Bread & Butter Pudding for afters.

Oh it waaaaaaaaas good :D

If you like Curries I highly recommend checking out Sanjay's site I linked on the last page, he is fabulous, and what a honey to be sharing the knowledge, I have lost hours on his site though LOL and made just about every curry he has a video for :p (well except for a lot of the vegetarian ones :p ) He shows you step by step how to make authentic curries in a fun way.

Yours looks great too Doctor! I CBA making any sides with mine, we just had the curry, but your naan and fried rice look mmmmmmmm

The naan was a bit of a fail actually, I must have hurled in too much baking powder or something cause it kept rising.

Every few seconds I was flying into the oven with a fork, pricking it and shouting at the top of my voice "Get down you swine!" This was in the middle of frying the rice and singing A British Tar.

LOL it must have been quite a sight :D hehehee

And quite possibly after a dozen lagers :D

Yeah it was a YouTube moment but luckily there was no camera around.

I did have to explain to a couple of my mate who Gilbert & Sullivan were too which took up valuable naan pricking time.

While washing up I moved on to singing Model of a Modern Major General, not the best piece to choose really but it did work.

:D hehehehe.. well I am sure you whipped those dishes into cleanliness! Hope you didn't break any of them with a big flamboyant finish to the song :D

* has visions of suddsy dishes flying around the kitchen whilst the Doctor 'brings it home' *

I half dropped a plate as I lifted it from the sink but it wasn't too high so didn't break.

It was something on the lines of this;

[sings]In short in matters vegetable, animal and mineral I am the very model of a... Bol**cks... modern major general[/sings]

LOL, Love to see someone who sings and enjoys themselves even when doing a boring job like the washing up :D Good man!!!

Well tonight the call was for something different and very easy :p suited me, so I made a bacon and egg pie, frozen pastry sheets, 12 eggs, half beaten with some milk and Parmesan cheese, half just cracked straight into the pie, and lean short cut bacon, topped with puff pastry, and allowed to do it's thing - slightly over cooked it, and should have used cream not milk, but it was great! And left overs for tomorrow :D
