Food Fantasia

Wow that looks good.

I would never think of anything like that.

Well it couldn't be easier :D took about 5 mins to make, and then did it's own thing in the oven for about 45, and it was delicious!

I love things that cook themselves when I am busy or not in a serious cooking mood.

Every Easter I have to make a huge one of these for a family thing, everyone loves it!

Seeings as I'm on my own tonight and not too hungry I decided to just have a bowl of Porridge with a chopped banana. I didn't bother with a pic for obvious reason and I've misplaced the iPhone again.

There was a bit more Gilbert & Sullivan tonight, a few Tarantara's and of course being on my own I could sing a few Mabel high notes without risk of being called unpleasant things.

I like Porridge (for breakfast), but it gives hubby and son the Heebee Jeebees though lol I am not allowed to eat it around them :p

Well good for you :D

I am eyeing up a pc of left over B & E pie for breaky this morning

Well tonight the call was for something different and very easy :p suited me, so I made a bacon and egg pie, frozen pastry sheets, 12 eggs, half beaten with some milk and Parmesan cheese, half just cracked straight into the pie, and lean short cut bacon, topped with puff pastry, and allowed to do it's thing - slightly over cooked it, and should have used cream not milk, but it was great! And left overs for tomorrow :D
I think you've just invented the Pie-quiche, or Piche for short :D

When I get the time I'll share some of the Turkish recipes I've picked up from my wife; stuffed peppers, cracked wheat pilau, kebabs FTW!

Yum Cha!!! :D We used to go to Yum Cha quite often when we lived in the city, but here in the regions there is no good Chinese that does it around here :(

That all looks very nice!

Steamed pork buns? Gow Gees? not sure about the other things, they look yummmmmmy though :D

The pork buns is what we call it "char siew pao" :D The sauce was thick and juicy, which coated the fairly chunky "char siew" meat inside very well. Although I found the sauce being a little too sweet and the skin being a little too thick for my taste buds, overall, this tasted very much nicer compared to many places which I had eaten. As for the few others are "Har Kaus", mango prawn rolls, pan fried dumplings and the egg tarts. :)

Well that's typical! Here I am slaving over a hot oven, i.e banging some chicken bits and veggie in on baking trays, and half me intended audience is disappearing out for the night! Bloody Halo Reach released this week apparently.

Right will post a pic when done and dusted (some cajun spiced chicken marinating in a greek style oil for most of the day).

Made minestrone soup tonight, was lovely. All home recipe too, will take photos and stuff and share shortly!
