Godaddy supported SOPA and withdrew their statement in an attempt to keep their customers.

They withdrew their statement, but they still support SOPA.

I use Namecheap as well (mostly just for registrations, though), and stopped doing business with GoDaddy years ago. They've been a terrible registrar long before SOPA.

I didn't know about SOPA until I saw it being talked about here on XF. Why is it a bad thing? Do people fear that Government and legislators will use SOPA against honest internet businesses?

I stayed for Danica Patrick. On a more serious note, I haven't made a decision yet. I was considering it a little over a year ago am not sure I really want to go through all the hassle just yet. I really do think they have the worst control panel ever.

The Drupal community (in LA at least) held a "Lets Leave GoDaddy" Day:

Even if you love SOPA, you should probably still switch your domains away from GoDaddy (their shared hosting is crap too, honestly, especially for running Drupal).
