[DBTech] DragonByte eCommerce

[DBTech] DragonByte eCommerce [Paid] 4.3.0.1

No permission to buy (€29.95)
Do you have customer references having implemented both XFRM and your add-on in one website only.
It would be inspiring :)
FYI, I am hesitating between a all in one shop included in XFRM ([XFA] RM Marketplace (shop)) and XFRM + your add-on.
Thanks
Given that eCommerce has pretty much all of the relevant features of the XFRM in addition to supporting payments, I strongly doubt anyone else has used the same setup unfortunately.

Could you elaborate on why you want to add products as resources instead of just using the normal product page in eCommerce?

In fact I have already a website using XFRM.
This website provides free Excel files created by me and my members.
There are around 900 Excel files currently referenced in several XFRM categories, and it works well this way.
In a near future I will develop Excel files that I wish to sell.
For this reason, I wish to use my existing XFRM environment where I will reference these new files that I will sell.
I need an add-on for adding purchasing and invoicing functions.
That's why I am considering your add-on and the other one I have talked about in my previous message.
Here is my business case.
Thanks
David

Fair enough :)

To see your use case in action, simply click this link: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/authors/dragonbyte-tech.2478/ and you'll see how cross-posting between XFRM and eCommerce would look & feel. Just pretend the external URL is on the same site instead of @ our site :D

Would it be possible to deactivate redundant functions in DB eCommerce in order to centralize them at XFRM?
I think about "Discussion" & "reviews" tabs.
In my case I think it will be confusing for consumers to have these elements both in XFRM and in dragonbyte eCommerce.
I want to avoid information redundancy both for members and duplicate content for SEO.
Thanks
David

Absolutely. You can disable product ratings via the options, and the "Discussion" feature is only shown if you explicitly configure categories to post threads / replies to an existing thread when a product is released or updated :)

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte eCommerce with a new update entry:

1.5.1

Update highlights

This version further improves the recently added functionality for the various criteria forms in XenForo by adding inverse user criteria for Created Products, Licenses Purchased and Amount Spent.

Multiple improvements have also been made to the layout thanks to @Liam W: Browsing the product list sees less wasted space, it is easier for mobile users to tap to navigate to the product information screen, and the default icon's alignment has...

There is no landing page after the payment is done.

with a "order complete" page it will be possible to track conversions and optimize, for example, ads strategy.

Please can you add this in the next update @DragonByte Tech it will be extremely useful for me and @Kintaro @ichpen @Liam W @whitesky and others...

I have asked this before, but i was ignored!
When payment is completed, you either end up on the order list (physical items) or the license list (digital items).

There are no plans to make any changes here. Feel free to submit a feature request @ DBTech though, as feature requests posted here will not be logged.

What could be nice also?

Is there any refererfunction in xf2?
Michael has brought Jim to the board, Jim buys an elephant for 1000 dollar. Because Michael is in the group premium, he will get 100 dollar for himself.
Sabrina is new and in the group normal, she gets only 50 dollar for the same story. Mario is just a user, we are happy that he has send one or to of his friends to the forum.

Manualy or automaticaly - users as referers could be upgraded in groups.
Or you take only webmasters you know ...

If there is no referer-function, write one!
?ref=user_id => save ref_uid, new uid, finish.
and maybe xf_user_refcnt also for upgrade reasons?

2. I want to have also this elephant, but i hate to register somewhere. So i am a guest and cant buy? I dont think so. If someone wants to buy as a guest, we could register him as johndoe-userid for example if a registering is needed for any reason.
So this pour man can come back and have a bill for example - or buy more, Michael would be happy about another commission.

3. if you want to sell more scripts you may show people a nice made shop (with elephants maybe?) instead of forms. Just with this forms i can imagine nothing. While i have two more addons still bought, i dont feel to buy a third one.

But with the details written above i will order it in a second, with nice pictures maybe tomorrow.

Thank you. :-)

No there is not.

Digital purchases require an account, physical purchases do not.

DragonByte Tech updated [DBTech] DragonByte eCommerce with a new update entry:

1.5.2

Update highlights

eCommerce now has the ability to send HTML-based invoices, via an application called WkHtmlToPdf. In order to use this feature, you must have this application installed on your server (and no, support for how to install it on your server is not available as this varies from server to server 😛).

You must also have the exec feature enabled on your server, same as if you were using...

Would it be possible to add an option to choose which product should be covered by the license field? Because I need to know a URL for such licenses and an email address for others except that I can not choose the product in question.
