Do you have any errors that have been logged in ACP? Just a little lost as dont seem to be able to replicate the problem regardless of what I do. If the settings are there in the ACP, as far as I can see the only way they would not be working at all would be if the file was not present, however if the listener file wasn't present, however if that wasnt present then the status would not have been showing below your post. Therefore the only conclusion I can come to is that either its a skin issue or problems from another modification.

Any chance you could message me a what mods you have installed on there and I can install the same ones on my test forum as a first port of call?

It could very well be an add-on conflict. Will have to go through the list when I have the time to do so. I do have a fairly long list installed. :cautious:

It worked before in that same skin, it only change after your last update I believe. Does that make sense?
 
On another note- do you do custom work, I am really looking for a status update like this- it's totally separate from xenforo status, it's done inline in the post bit.


Allows your users to update their status to tell other members what they are doing/thinking at any given time. A user's status is displayed under their names in their postbit, in their User Profile, and anywhere else you choose!

User's can edit their status quickly and easily via AJAX.

Features and Configuration options include:
  • Admin Option: Turn modification on/off
  • Admin Option: Ban usergroups from updating their status.
  • Admin Option: Set a max character count for status messages.
  • Admin Option: Set the number of characters of a status message displayed per line. (Word wrapping will occur for status messages longer than this defined value.)
  • Admin Option: Define a standard status prefix to be appended to the start of all status messages after the username. (i.e. Attilitus is doing something.)
  • Admin Option: Define a default status for users with a blank status.
  • Admin Option: Define the character set used for encoding status messages. (The default value of this option should work for most character sets.)
  • Feature: Status messages may be updated in-line.
  • Feature: All languages and character sets are supported. (Most, if not all, should work with the default encoding option. Others may require some configuration in the admin options.)
  • Feature: Users may press the Enter key to confirm their status update.

Can honestly say its unlikely I will be able to find the time to commit to something like that at the moment due to other things Im doing. Out of curiosity however, why would you use a separate system rather than extending the current one? I know the modification you are looking at and the biggest change to me is the inline updating of the statuses.

It does indeed make sense that the modification stopped working on that skin after the update as it how uses the template changing system within the ACP rather than hook within code as it did previously. Therefore would be relatively easy to resolve if you have the code and simply switched off the automatic edit.

I have the same problem with the default style, I'm afraid - the status shows, but not the word "Status".

Also in common wth an earlier post, it displays at the very top of the screen also. :(
