Image uploading via URL has been rolled out on the support site.

There is at least one known bug at this time, related to invalid URLs.
However, as my time is very limited at the moment, I am rolling it out so people can test it and report any other bugs.

Okay I admit I am a bit lazy, I can't figure out how to stop the slider being displayed on the forums list. Its fine on the Portal Page. Can anyone offer advice?

@Martok has played with transparency but it's not a simple matter as applying transparency to the image also affects the content.

So we might expect an Opacity Slide Control with CTA FT & P 2.30 next Friday by noon?

No. I've discussed this issue with Brogan and it can't be done for various technical reasons and css limitations. My guide on using opacity with backgrounds is a good solution to this problem.

We considered allowing backgrounds, we found @Martok's guide very good In the end we went for no background enabled. But definitely recommend the guide if you are considering it

Version 2.11 has just been pushed to Beta and rolled out on the support site.
It has been sent to the beta testers so hopefully it will be released some time in the coming week.

To set the home page, do the following:
ACP -> Options -> CTA Featured Threads: Featured Threads Page

ACP -> Options -> Basic Board Information: Index Page Route

Select the option, change the index page route, empty the home page URL field.

After installing a new theme, featured threads are not displaying on forum view or forum list. Here are the settings:
