If it was implemented, it wouldn't be automatic.
There would still be an action required to select one of the attachments, as is currently the case when setting an icon, background or slider image.

So far there has been very little interest in that feature so it's not high on the list of things I am looking at.

Oh ok, that would then cancel the type of use I'm thinking around automatic show of the image, so don't worry about it then.

I'm just trying to figure out how else I could use this as a home page using the auto featured thingy.

Disable the avatar/icon from being displayed, add the image to the thread and enable BB Code.

I've got automatic featuring and what I do is simply leave those threads with the avatars and manually featured with icons. I have to do some work manually though anyway as I like to upload backgrounds and choose some auto featured threads to be promoted to the slider.

What I'd like to be able to do is remove images, videos etc from the FT block on the forum list (and other pages) but leave it visible on the FT page. I know I can disable BB Code entirely but that then removes bold, italic etc as well as text that has a URL added (i.e. like this). I guess I could achieve the removal of images, videos etc with some CSS though I'm not quite sure what I'd need or where to put it (EXTRA.css?). The main reason is to prevent auto featured threads which have images or videos right at the start from having them (or rather the top bit of them) appear in the FT block on the forum list.

There isn't really a way to do that.

Even if you hide the images and video using CSS (which is easily done), the content won't move up as there will still be line breaks.

Fair point. I'll just keep an eye out for auto featured threads that have the images at the top.

Would the ability to have the avatar or icon floated right on a per featured thread basis be of any interest?

I seem to recall one or two requesting it but I'm undecided on how useful it would be or whether it would be used.

I guess i need to work on paying better attention somehow or another.. For whatever reason i didnt catch the "or icon" part of your post.. That being the case i really am for it and i think i was one of the few who requested initially.

On a separate note to anyone with a guiding hand or a handy code edit..

I'm still trying to figure out what Templates to edit and what to edit inside them to get my share options in the same line as "Featured Thread" "Author" "Date" etc.. I swear ive been trying and i just keep fudging up the template to almost useless.

Is there any option that RSS feed fetch uploaded custom icon for featured thread?

I know, but threads shows in RSS. Featured or not. But I guess it is not possible to show Uploaded custom icon (if I uploaded it for FT).

For example: in graph_open_meta it's this code to get avatar:

It is supposed to wrap around the avatar like that.
If you don't want it to, change the Style Properties to match how it is done for the blocks.
