I agree. What does disturb me is people that can't write two sentences without spelling errors in them.
Words such as color, humor, aluminum, etc.

Exactly; and he obviously knew the difference between -er and -re, and used the correct form for HTML.You do know, don't you, that a British guy invented HTML?
I don't use 'color' out of habit, it takes a conscious effort on my part to use that spelling.I have noticed Kier using color lately - habit or contextual replies?
Well, if you really do want to be correct, you'll use "center" in the way it is intended, for all forms of English, per my above post.
Personally, I find the omission of the 'h' to sound somewhere between pretentious and slovenly. It's certainly not something that is taught in English schools.I grew up in New York State, and was taught that the 'h' in herb is silent. Same with hour, honest, and any other 'h' followed by a vowel (except for history, oddly enough). But I guess I'm getting old now, and English is evolving - no, degrading - into further depths of despair.

Blame the French for the confusion with the letter H; most of the silent H words come from some sort of early french origin (hour, honor, herb, etc...etc...).
