Have you some ideas in mind to extend the moderation options?

I did have a question, how long do the users show on the list before they are removed? It would be nice feature to have that they are removed after x number of minutes

Users remain in the list for 30 minutes after the last activity. I will add the option to set for how long you want users to be displayed in he list.

For example, temp ban, mute, promote users to moderator from the chat, Assigning moderators to specific chatrooms (later) ... stuff like that

Yeah being able to ban a user for x days/hours and have the ban auto lift would be good, the ban message should also tell the banned user when the ban will be lifted.

I would like to have the ability to change the active chatters list to those who are in chat. So, the user bar would have those who have the page open listed and not just those who have messaged in X amount of time.

This is how my chat (forum_list view) is looking now, i have also removed the dropdown for banning a user and just made it a icon, same for logout, in my view the dropdown made doing the action longer and also made it hard to ban from a mobile.

@Siropu any progress with double messages? Sometimes I see it, sometimes only other members see it. Refreshing fixes it.

I don't joke. When someone tags you, you supposed to see that message highlighted with a background color. You don't see that? What browser are you using?

I suppose will see drop down list of username when i am typing @Username, but in fact no. that's why i said that tag feature does not working. Sorry I understand now that we have to type all @Username completely.

Then, this is a suggestion to polish up this feature: making a drop down username list when we are typing and trying to tag some one. Something that similar to tagging feature in this forum. This feature will avoid miss type.

You don't have to type anything (unless the user in not chatting), you just have to click on the username of that user in the messages list and it will get inserted automatically in the input box.

I can't reproduce this myself but I've added a function that should prevent this problem if it happens. Let me know if in version 1.8.0 this problem still occurs.

@Siropu, I suggest lowering the z-index for #siropuChat to around 50, as it will go over fixed navigation in Arty's styles.

Also when someone is viewing the chat page on online page for current users it says "Viewing unknown page". It would be better to say "Viewing chat".

I love how this chat is evolving but I REALLY do not like the users in chat part. I would prefer that to be collapsible/removable, also adding the edit/delete into a drop down (before the avatar on the left) rather than just two icons. I feel it's eating space away on the chat window.

Is it possible to achieve this?

would you share this setup?

Their is a good number of edits that have been made that are made to match my style so are hard coded, its highly likely it would not look, work right on other styles or the core style. Is there anything about it you really want to do with yours? i should be able to point you in the right way to be able to edit your style to your needs.

Personally i would wait to after 1.8 because it sounds like there might be a good number of template edits.
