Many jokes aside . . I think we can all agree that we want this mess to be over with as quickly as possible. The good folks at Xenforo don't deserve this. They served us for many years at vB and now here. Keep up the good work you guys!

Again I appreciate your concern Brogan, and again I thank you for it.

My intent was to broaden understanding about sociopathy, as I am a teacher of Psychology.

Someone posted about not being able to understand how "anyone" could not have guilt feelings, etc.

I posted a reference to a clinical study that addresses this general issue of a certain percentage of the general population that is not physiologically capable of experiencing such emotions.

Best regards,
HJ

XF's team devote lot of time and considerable expense during the past year in court. If proven by court that xf is pure writing they should make Ib pay for xf lost. So IB and other giant company learn from similar actions.

That is a condition not limited to sociopaths. Many of us who suffer from Aspergers Syndrome have issues with emotional detachment. Its never a good idea to paint with too wide a stroke.

That's incorrect.
  • The claimants in the UK action are 1) Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. and 2) vBulletin Solutions Inc.
  • The plaintiff in the Californian action is vBulletin Solutions Inc.
Internet Brands Inc. is not a party to either case.

Their only connection is by parent corporation to both Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd and vBulletin Solutions Inc. IB is not the Plaintiff.

they are owned by IB so I assume they are forced to take this action..
also check out the first thread regarding this issue
Internet Brands claims against Xenforo

why did they say IB in the thread if its vb?

i am confused o_O

Well, just read though all of doc 70 on Shamil's page and the independent PHP expert does an excellent job of telling the court what we all knew - XenForo has no vBulletin code in it at all.

As for the rest of the run-around vbSI's lawyers have given XF's lawyers when asking for supporting documentmentation to backup these claims - I'm no expert, but I can't see the judge being impressed at all.

A PHP expert blows their main arguments out of the water and then they don't even back up the other claims.

At least we don't have to wait long, Oct 24th is the next court date, if I'm not mistaken.

I hope the judge throws it out and awards costs to XF. I don't think it works like that in the US though, at least with the costs :(. It should get thrown out though, no case to answer really.

I wonder what you must feel like working for vB and so many people around you quitting/leaving . . .
I dont feel anything special - people come, people go. Ive been working for 31 years, its nothing new. Most of IB/VB are thousands of miles away from me as well.

Plaintiff has allege that XenForo Limited is an criminal “enterprise” operated
by Darby, Sullivan, and Busby who allegedly direct Gordon, Frei, and Gokceimam
to commit wire fraud.

I'm having a big laugh right now. After reading the lines above, I'm picturing Kier as Vito, Mike as Michael Corleone and Ashley as Tom Hagen. Like a bad knock-off Godfather movie.

Apparently I stand corrected then. So you are saying this action was not initiated by IB, nor is it being continued by them ?

Seems just about everyone [including me] is mis-informed then, since from day 1 its been 'branded' as Internet Brands v Xenforo.
