XF 1.5 Bounced email + SparkPost

Hi,

anyone figured out how to set up automated bounced email while usong SparkPost for SMTP?

I tried to set up gmail account for bounces, but I gor server error (imap.gmail.com, 993, SSL).

I'm using gmail but with pop (pop.gmail.com, 995, SSL).

Well, now I've set it up for my domain and no errors, but also no bounces. Maybe it's because of SMTP via SparkPost.

No, no, something did shows up in email bounce log in XF. Guess it works over my domain. I'll wait for some more actions.

EDIT: but still no email about bounces...

How did you configure Sparkpost to send the bounce notifications to a specific email address that Xenforo could monitor?

I contacted Sparkpost and they said they offer a webhook but no forwarding bounces to a dedicated mailbox.

I get same answer, but I'm still in contact with them.

That's a shame, I guess that makes them incompatible with XF bounce handling?

FYI, looks like SparkPost now pseudo-supports forwarding bounced emails to a mailbox via this Heroku app on their Github: https://github.com/SparkPost/sp-bounce-forwarding-service

Strange of them to acknowledge the demand for such a feature yet not implement it in their service

Maybe is a pain the ass manage this, as they have to send mails to accomplish it and maybe for them is an extra cost... I don't know.

I'm going to try this Heruko solution.

I've tried to deploy it but it's asking me for a credit card.
