Hi @xfrocks I really like the idea of awarding members, but I couldn't find anywhere how is it working. What are you awarding users for? Can you somewhere set the requirements to get the medal? Or do you need other add-ons for this one to work? Sorry if this has been somewhere answered, went through first 2 pages of discussion, but didn't find anywhere how exactly this works.

[BD]Medal is a system that allows you (as the Admin) to award your users with Medals for various self thought reasons. When you install the system you can upload images which you can use as Medals. If you need some such images you can try this icon pack. The criteria for each medal being awarded is set by you and is given upon your own discretion. You can award members a medal for any reason you want.

I have mine set to 4 but only 3 display. It's strange. Try setting it to 6?

It's done manually via the admin panel, I allow moderators access to it through the admin permissions to create them and award users. He has a mod that ties it in with the trophies, it's a premium mod but there is zero information around it, I'm thinking of buying it but it would be nice to know how it works. https://xfrocks.com/resources/trophy-extension.1/

I'm using it on a forum with about 40 medals and 60,000 users... it's working for us.

Yeah latest 1.2 xenforo, our staff have been actively creating & awarding medals and I've had no errors in the server logs or xenforo's own logs.

It is a minor error at best. Simply set the amount you want members to have +1. So if you want members to be able to show 5 medals. Set it to 6. If you want them to be able to show 10, set it to 11. If you want them to show every medal they earned, set it to 9,000 or some other insanely high number.

As for this. The Trophy Extension system incorporates [BD]Medal into XenForo Trophies. Therefore, when users earn a Trophy, they are automatically given a Medal to go with it. It's a paid Add-on but worth it if you want to remove the tedious fact of manually awarding members. There are some drawbacks in that each Medal you award this way is tied directly to the Trophy System which does not account for everything. But it's very easy to create custom Trophies and add medals to go with them.
I did find an issue where Medals are only awarded along with the trophy when the trophy is given. So if you have a bunch of users that already got the Trophy and then you add a medal to that Trophy, this will not update those users with the new Medal. It's a very nice working system but you may find this as a flaw if you already have a very active forum.
Additionally, I have spoken with @xfrocks via Skype about developing more into the [BD]Medal system to allow users to be able to order the display of medals in their posts and choose which ones they wish to display. He had quoted me $50 for the work but unfortunately right now I have other priorities, however if anyone else is willing to contribute to this I can go half and half with you.
