[bd] Mails 1.1.0

No permission to download
Is there someone else with 1.1.x that can confirm this?

So now on my 1.1.5 now I set up Mandrill SMTP on xf ACP for sending mail from /admin.php?users/email and now it works.
...it will works the deactivation of the bounced users/mails right? bd mails get the list directly from mandrill right?

Hi there,

I have installed the add-on on a test 1.1.5 site and it indeed doesn't work for sending email from AdminCP. Yes, it should still work for the bounced processing.

Just had this pop up in my server error log

Code:

It actually contains the response from Mandrill. Yes, please send me via a conversation.

I want to send an email out to all members (7000+) will this effect my host limit of 500 an hour? Is it some sort of setting in the ACP I will need to make once installed?

Thanks in advance!

Actually the limit is imposed by the email provider (Mandrill/Mailgun/Sendgrid) if you install this add-on. So your host limit of 500 email/hour means nothing. However, email providers have their limits too.

Ok- any or all cover 7500 emails free or better than the other?

So...I am using Mandrill. 12,000 emails at one interval? A month? And, all of your emails, alerts and so on will now be handled through mandrill from what I see. is it reliable enough to rely on all incoming and outgoing alerts and mail?

Another concern, unless my settings are wrong is how members perceive the received emails from my site. See a message to me in my chat box from a member.

12k is free. After that you can pay to send more. It's running smoothly as far as I see. BTW, there is no inbound processing currently.

per month is it? Dumb question. The main reason I looked at this mod was to send sort of a news letter out monthly to 7000+ members. If I turn it on for that one day to do emails and used my regular email via my host, (disable the add on in the ACP) that would suffice?

Thanks for your help.

I think that should work. However, it's unclear whether you can send 7k in a day without paying. The email providers have monthly rate limit, day rate and hour rate too.
